As an English teacher, I value Reading and Writing with the same gravity; if one cannot read well, then one cannot write well. My writing instruction is derived directly from the texts that we read in class, journal reflections on content we are brainstorming or discussing, and thesis statements that are powerful opinions turned into thesis papers using proper in-text citation format.
