Based on Canto VI in "Inferno," reflect on the sinners and their punishments that have landed the sinners here. As the Gluttons, how has their desire for food and drink landed them in the Circle 3. Consider our Christianity as we embark on our journey through Lent as well take a look inside ourselves to prepare for the risen Christ. How have you been gluttonous with either food or drink? How often are we chasing after that which we think will fill us, allowing ourselves to be distracted from the One who really satisfies? At least 5 sentences.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. It is considered to be one of the less serious of the seven deadly sins. The Gluttons in Cato VI are people who excessively eat or drink. Their punishment is that they are "forced to slosh around forever in the vile muck that makes up most of the circle". In Lent, we abstain from something for 40 days. We do this because Jesus spent 40 days in the desert to prepare himself for his ministry.

The type of sinners Dante encounters in Canto VI are the gluttonous. These are the people that eat or drink such an excessive amount, that it becomes sinful. In this circle of Hell, the gluttonous are forced to slosh around forever in the vile muck which makes up most of the circle. I was gluttonous once. On February 9, 2016 I didn't eat a mini-cupcake I took during Mardi Gras. Cup cakes can just be so appealing sometimes.

In Canto VI the Gluttons are put in circle 3 because of their desire to eat and drink so much. They rather do this than use the gifts that God had given them. I don't think most people notice when they are being Glutton, so they don't even think twice about it. We always distract ourselves with things that we want or the things we want to do in life or that day instead of focusing on what really matters which is God. Even during Lent people will give up something that is important to us, but there usually is a time where people are tempted during the Lent season and they end up doing whatever they decided to give up.

In Canto VI, we're introduced to the Gluttons who didn't use their gifts given by God. They seemed to be the ones who sat back and did nothing that would positively contribute to society, as they were only producers of garbage which ties into their punishment in Hell. Throughout our journey through life, we're going to be very gluttonous also. Besides the food and drink aspect, people today fill themselves with other things thinking that it will make them happy. What we need to realize is that God is the one who will truly satisfy our needs in the end, and that all of these worldly things do not have the ability to bring us to eternal happiness.

In this Canto we are introduced to Gluttons. Who eat and drink excessively, I think they are in Hell because they did not share and kept all their food for themselves. In Lent we are supposed to give up something for the 40 days until Easter. Throughout life we experience gluttony many times.

As god came and fulfilled our thirst we crave by sending jesus down. Those who arent redeemed in his name are the ones who are in this circle of hell. Their endless thirst is caused by not finding salvation in jesus #jahovah #witness. Also they will be endlessly thirsty because they will never have a chance to find jesus (kind of goes against our faith) but thats all i could find.

In Canto VI Dante and Virgil meet the sinners who have committed gluttony. They are stuck in a bunch of garbage and muck, because they threw away their gifts on earth. They were also too distracted making themselves happy so they didn't have time for god. I think gluttony is really easy to commit, because people don't see what's wrong with it and it doesn't seem like a big deal. Lent is a time where people give up something for 40 days because Jesus did when he was in the desert.

In circle three the sinners Dante meets there are the gluttons, or people that excessively eat or drink. Just as they slavered over food and drinks on earth, they are now slavered over by Ceberus for all of eternity. During Lent we are supposed to offer up sacrifices and fast so we can experience living with only what we need to survive and without the luxuries we take for granted.Through this we can discover that we are pleased by feeding the soul rather than our bodies. As it says in John 6:35 "Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst.'"

The sinners in this act are very gluttonous. This is take an extensive amount of food or drink and the wasting it. Some of us are gluttonous from time to time. One time I was gluttonous was and is usually during Thanksgiving. I always take more than I could eat.

Gluttony is when you eat or waste an extravagant amount of food. The sinners the book have a pretty bad punishment. Their punishment is that they have to slosh around forever in the vile muck that makes up most of the circle. I have been glutinous many times. For example I have ate way too much at Mardi Gras. I also took a piece of king cake that I didn't finish. I am sorry.

It is very selfish act. It is one of the ten deadly sins. They are people who eat and drink excessively. The sinners now "lie in an icy paste, swollen snd observe and Cerberus the ravenous three headed dog of hell stands guard over them ripping and tearing them with his claws and teeth."

Is sins are very selfish. The people who want to eat and drink is for us to get want to. The sinner lent us try to fast and give up up somethings we do every day. The food we love is like a satisfy net for us.

Although Gluttony is one of less serious ones, it is still one of the seven deadly sins. Being gluttonous is eating or drinking too much. It is not as deadly as other sins, but it is much harder to resist the temptation to commit this sin. Many people have succumbed to this sin, myself included. People often use food or drinks to fill their emptiness, but God says that only he can do that for them.

I believe being gluttonous is a very easy sin to commit. So this is why I find this punishment so extreme. There has been many instants in my life where I have been gluttonous. Now there is a difference between being hungry and eating just because your bored or because the food looks good. Gluttony is a temptation that we as people should be able to deny in our lives. I believe a season such as lent is the perfect way to show us our roots and pull us away from this deadly sin.

Food is a big problem in our would today. Some people have vary little of it, and others have plenty of it. People today eat more food then what is needed to be healthy. Food is just a thing in this world. we need it but we only need so much of it.

In our world today, it is very easy to be gluttonous. These people in circle 3 have put their love for food and inanimate objects in the place of people and God. Sometimes it can be hard to not want that cookie at lunch. During lent we can give up that extra cookie. Sometimes you have to give up things you love for things you love even more.

Gluttony is an easy sin to succumb to. People are always hungry and want food or thirsty and always want drink. It is easy to just eat that extra slice of pizza cause it tastes so good. this is bad because they sometimes put this food in front of more important things such as Jesus. Lent is a way to get away from that and focus on other things. Comments are closed.
