Circle 8 Bolgia 5: The Grafters

Reflecting on the grafters in Circle 8 Bolgia 5, think about times in your life where graft has been prevalent. In the situation, were you the one on the giving or receiving end of graft? Explain the situation and compare and contrast it to the sinner whom Dante addresses in this Bolgia. At least 5 sentences.

There have been instances throughout my life where I have been on both ends of grafting. An example could be that I have bribed people for homework. On the other side of graft, I have been the one who has taken bribes for homework. The sinners who are placed in Bolgia 5 will continue to graft or bribe. Dante is bribed by a sinner that says he would talk to Dante if he helped him out of the tar for a moment. The sinner instantly began to run away. This is similar to my situation because it involves people who are both trying to get what they want for their own benefit.

There have been times in life were I have been on both sides of graft. For example i have ask for the answers on homework that I did not do. On the other side I have given people answers to problems on homework they did not do, This is the most common example amongst students of every age. Therefore this is a example of how I fall to graft.

Throughout my life, there have been many times when people offered me bribes in order to get answers to homework. This is probably one of the most common scenarios facing students of our age. I don't usually give people the answers though unless it was just a couple that they couldn't figure out. If the person didn't do any of the homework, then that's too bad and they should've done it. In comparison to the unidentified navarrese, he offered a bribe in order to benefit himself and then ran off soon after. The connection between the two as that once they get what they want they leave.

In my life, there has been many instances of small graft. I've definetly been on both sides of the spectrum. For one- I remember as a kid when my little brother accidentally got hurt and he would cry but me and my older siblings didn't want my mom to hear. We would tell him that we would give him candy or something. Another could be a friend asking if they could borrow my homework because they didn't do their or vice versa.

There have been many instances where I have been involved in grafting. The majority of the time it involves homework answers. I have been on both sides of this. I have been offered money for homework answer in exchange for money or other classes work. This relates to the sinners in bolgia five because these people just want to benefit themselves and will leave until they want or need more.

I have seen many types of grafters in my life. The most common is definitely bribing for homework. People give out money or food to get answers. When I was younger, I would always bribe my younger siblings so they wouldn't tell on me. Although I have never experienced it, there are much larger and more destructive forms of grafting that are becoming more common in today's society.

There are many grafters in today's society. When I was little my parents would bribe my sister and I sometimes to get us to stop fighting or to make us do chores. At school people bribe others to get answers for a test another class took before them. The sinner Dante addresses and the present day example both deal with someone taking advantage of another. The grafter only offers the other person something in exchange for what they need, once they obtain it they leave.

When you think of grafters they are usually portrayed as politicians. People using the money from other people to get into office then pass laws there way. Not all grafters are politicians many are in every day society. Either a large brib to say get promoted or a smaller one like paying for homework. Everyone has experienced a graft either from being the one that has bribed someone else or being the one offered to do something for a brib.

In my life I have experienced many times with graft. For example, I would ask my mom if I cleaned my room then she would take me to my friends house and I was basically bribing her. Other people bribe me and say they'll bring me food or money if I do their homework for them.

There have been a few times in my life where I was a grafter. Some of those time are when you bribe someone with homework. Also if you give a bribe for the homework. I have done this as well on a handful of times.This is really the only time i have ever bribed someone.

Graft is most prevalent in modern day politicians. Many politicians take money from benefactors for personal gain. But those who pay off these politicians do so to sway votes in their favor. This is no different than what was happening durring Dante's life time. People have been paying off politicians for years and years. This will continue to happen because people will always be corrupted.

There have been a few times in my life when graft happened. Once people have grafted me for my homework. They have also grafted me for money and products. Graft is bad. Don't ever graft.

Grafting is common today, just as it was in Dante's time. The best example today would be students trading homework answers. I have experienced grafting, and so have many others. Now, it is still very similar compared to what Dante has witnessed back then, although his examples are more extreme. In both cases the grafters are bribing others to get something to their benefit. Everyone has experienced grafting, either giving the bribe or receiving it.

Graft are people who want something and will do everything for it. The time in my life I graft was to get my mom or dad to take me somewhere with them. Some graft is small and some are big things people will do to get somewhere. sometime gift is a big thing of you lot on people are in it. Sometime gift is small like wanting to go somewhere. Everybody had gift one in their life.

In my life, graft has been present. One example would be when I bribe people for food, and vice versa. This is similar to the sinners in Bolgia 5 because the sinners benefit as well.

There all types of grafting in today's society for a example car commercial they tell you if you come to the shop in a certain time period you will get deals or people will bribe you to buy somthing and if you do you will get special lifetime deals but you really don't those are just some example of grafting or graft

In "inferno", Dante enters bolgia 5. Here he finds the grafter. Grafters are people who bribe other people for there own gain. In our world today bribery can still be a big problem. I personally do not have any experiences with bribery, but we can see a good example in our laws. bribery is such a problem that they have to make it illegal to bribe a cop.

Graft is probably the most common sin I see at school. I see graft when people ask me for homework and even sometimes when I ask for homework. The second thing that comes to mind relating to Graft is politics. Political leaders are always looking to get an edge on their opposer. This means that they will use graft to help them. In conclusion, both Dantes grafters and the grafters i have mentioned only care about the advancement and bettering of themselves.
