Based on Canto VI in "Inferno," reflect on the sinners and their punishments that have landed the sinners here. As the Gluttons, how has their desire for food and drink landed them in the Circle 3. Consider our Christianity as we embark on our journey through Lent as well take a look inside ourselves to prepare for the risen Christ. How have you been gluttonous with either food or drink? How often are we chasing after that which we think will fill us, allowing ourselves to be distracted from the One who really satisfies? At least 5 sentences.

On Fat Tuesday is a day when everyone is a glutton. We all pig out on whatever we can find. Your background or family will determine how much exactly. My family is originated from lake Charles, Louisiana so naturally we pig out for dinner.

In Canto VI, the gluttonous are punished by living in garbage sine they only produced garbage when they were alive. Gluttony is a common problem in the United States. Many people are obese. A punishment for gluttony is poor health. Eating and drinking too much can cause many diseases including diabetes. It is important to give up something for Lent to show sacrifice in honor of Jesus. I plan to give up sweets. Most people are searching for something to fill them. They think material things will make them happy. Joy and peace can only come from Jesus.

To reflect on "Gluttony" in canto VI , I myself feel I haven't experienced it. I actually turned to the other end of the spectrum due to a traumatizing experience. I understand how one would get absorbed in greed though. It's easy to want to satisfy ourselves with food, drink or other things, but we need to remember what is really important to us, which is God. He will be there to help is not give in, keep our faith in him and that is a satisfying feeling to me.

Today we just celebrated fat Tuesday where we eat everything that we may not be able to eat during lent. During lent we are encouraged to fast and not eat as much as we would on a regular basis. In canto VI it talks about sinners with gluttony which is based on food and drink. These sinners would eat everything they have and never gave a thought about anyone else. I feel as if we all are gluttons at one point in our lives. We all live in nice homes and all have food and drink we need to survive. Meanwhile people in other countries are not as lucky as we are. We forget about the people that are suffering right now. We all are blindsided by their situation because we aren't in their situation, and we never give it any thought.

I think gluttony is a strange sin to talk about because it is a very subjective sin. We all can agree that to go to a restaurant and order one of everything and eat all of it by yourself is a gluttonous act. But that is a very extreme view of gluttony, and we can't seem to agree on when a hearty meal becomes a gluttonous feast. I don't think that it is okay to eat a huge amounts of food every night but it's fine to do that every now and then.

In the 6th canto we witness the gluttonous, these people their whole lives ate a surplus of food and drink therefore putting them in this position. There eternal punishment is to lie down in a muck and swamp type environment being equivalent to a pig because they acted like pigs all there life. Today was a day called Fat Tuesday, this is a day in which we eat and eat without care since for the fourty days after we fast and give up some type of thing that is important to us. Most give up sweets or candy or something of that sort. I too am probably going to give up s sort of sweet or an addicting unhealthy food. Although the I am doing this I as well as many others have been gluttonous at times when you just want tons of food and do not share or give to others. I also believe that we chase after things to try to please us such as food and drink when really we do not need these things and do not need to eat that much, but more needing to act as Jesus would. #imout #dabonem'

In Canto VI, we are introduced to a group of sinners called the gluttonous. The souls of the gluttonous spent their whole life eating a surplus of food and drinking more than they really needed. The Gluttonous are therefore punished by living in garbage since they only produced garbage when they were alive on earth. Gluttony is still a common problem in the world today, especially in the United States. One of the many punishments for gluttony we see today is poor health. Eating and drinking too much can cause many diseases. Something you can do to try and avoid these punishments is giving up something for Lent. Personally, I plan to give up pizza. Most people are searching for something to fill them. They think material things will make them happy. However, God's grace is the only thing that can truely fill you.

In canto VI we meet the gluttons. In my opinion we are all gluttons in our own way at times. Like a good example is Fat Tuesday. We all eat lots of food and drink a lot before lent starts. These people are here because they chased things that would fill them on earth, and never found it truly. So their punishment is fitted accordingly to their sins.

In Canto VI, Dante and Virgil meet the Gluttons. The Gluttons are people who fill there lives with food and drink. They think nothing about others only to pleasure themselves. I feel like many people are gluttons because they don't know how to control themselves. Most people give up sweets or soda for lent but are unable to last the 40 days because they are addicted.

In this Canto we are introduced to the Gluttonous. These souls have spent their lives being selfish in one way or another just like everyone else condemned to the Inferno. They show their selfishness through being greedy with food and drink. During Lent we try to be the opposite f the gluttonous. Many decide to make a sacrifice of food or drink. We make this sacrifice and offer it up to Jesus. During this time we as Christians agree to give up these things for our Lord and to guarantee a spot in heaven.

In this canto we are introduced to another batch of sinners, the gluttons. The gluttons were people on earth who just stuffed themselves with food and drink without giving anyone else a second thought. They are placed in the third circle of hell, guarded by Cerberus, because Cerberus slavers over the tormented souls; similar to how the gluttons slavered over there food on earth. We as Christians should eat, but not to the point where we don't consider everyone else in our lives.

In canto 6 we come across the gluttons. The gluttons are sinners who just kept eating food. The gluttons are in the 3rd circle of hell. Cerberus, the savage 3 headed dog, guards the 3rd circle. Eating alot is not good and healthy for us. But we need to think about all the people who dont have as much as us
